For the article As Permafrost Thaws, Scientists Study the Risks, part of Justin Gillis’s Temperature Rising series, which won the 2011 John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism.
The Oakes Award jury wrote: “The graphics made a strong contribution. They were clear, and as informative as they were visually attractive.”
