In the spring of 1999, the officers of Yale University asked John Gambell, University Printer, to create a new “front door” to the University’s 170,000 active Web pages.
13pt provided design and technical consulting to the web initiative team, which included Michael Rock and Alice Chung of 2x4, and Catherine Iino.
13pt also implemented and coded the final site design, which launched June 1, 1999. The new “blue” site went through several rounds of revisons over the next decade.
